According to StoneX, a global financial services company, the estimate for wheat production in the 2025/26 season is projected at 7.5 million tons, a 2% increase from the previous survey. According to the company's Risk Management consultant, Jonathan Pinheiro, the new number reflects an improvement in productivity in the southern states, with a highlight for Rio Grande do Sul, where production was raised to 3.3 million tons. "The weather conditions have been favorable, with good moisture in the farms in Rio Grande do Sul, which has boosted the performance of the crop in the region," says the consultant.
