Brazil's CropChem launches the nation's first abamectin combination formulation.

Perseus Duo is Brazil's first registered formulation that combines acaricides with other active ingredients. This product, by combining two different chemical substances with distinct mechanisms of action, offers growers a dual-action solution for effective mite management. The CropChem Research and Development Manager pointed out that the product combines abamectin and ketoenol chemical substances, both of which are excellent tools for controlling the holly mite (Oligonychus ilicis), which directly affects photosynthesis in coffee plantations. Additionally, the product can also prevent the citrus rust mite (Phyllocoptruta oleivora), a pest that can cause a fruit drop rate between 5% and 20%. In addition to Perseus Duo, CropChem has also launched Avner 500 SC, an insecticidal and acaricidal agent based on pyriproxyfen.
