Vinh Thanh district in Binh Dinh province is trying a new farming model called 'crispy carp' where fish are raised for five months to make their meat crispy. The model, initiated by the district's People's Committee and implemented by farmer Nguyen Quoc Luat and engineer Nguyen Van Chinh, has received positive feedback for the quality and taste of the crispy carp. The cost for raising each fish is around 40,000 VND, and the fish fetches 150,000 VND per kilogram. However, the lack of standard procedures and guidelines from functional agencies for this new farming method is hindering its wider implementation.
