According to information from the Rural Economy Department (Deral) of the Agriculture and Supply Secretariat of Paraná (Seab), buffalo farming comprises a herd of 35 thousand animals in the State, with 70% concentrated in the Ribeira Valley. The activity generated R$ 39.1 million in Gross Production Value (GPV) in 2024, with R$ 27.9 million coming from the sale of slaughter animals and R$ 11.2 million from buffalo milk.
