According to information from the Rural Economy Department (Deral) of the Agriculture and Supply Secretariat of Paraná (Seab), buffalo farming has a herd of 35 thousand animals in the State, with 70% concentrated in the Ribeira Valley. To strengthen the sector, the Rural Development Institute of Paraná (IDR-Paraná), linked to Seab, held this week the III Regional Meeting of Buffalo Producers of the Ribeira Valley, held in Itaperuçu, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba. The event brought together 126 producers and had the support of the local municipality and the Association of Buffalo Milk Producers of Campo Largo and Ribeira Valley (AproleVale).
