Bulgarian rose oil is exported for 9,168 euros/kg, the export in 2023 is 1,370 kg

We must work actively for the market success of Bulgarian rose oil. This is what the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Kiril Vatev, said before the Consultative Council on the oil-bearing rose, which was held today at the Ministry of Agriculture, the press service of the line ministry reported. Minister Vatev commented that the rose is a symbol of Bulgaria and the qualities of the traditional Bulgarian rose oil make it an undisputed world leader, but it is important to look for an increase in the added value in the chain of the production of essential oil crops. In connection with the request of the branch organizations for increased control during the upcoming campaign, the Ministry of Agriculture will organize inspections of the points of purchase and of the distilleries, as well as for the existence of contracts for purchase, as required by the Rose Oil Law.
