Butter prices are rising not only in Poland, this is the result of rising milk prices

Milk prices are rising across Europe In October 2024, milk prices rose monthly in twenty-five Member States. The largest changes occurred in Lithuania, Sweden, Belgium, Romania and Ireland, where a record increase was recorded - compared to September this year, milk prices increased by 7.2 percent to EUR 62.15 per 100 kg, and year-on-year by 46.8 percent. The most expensive milk is in Malta, its price - EUR 62.17 per 100 kg. In Poland, the average price in October this year was EUR 51.69/100 kg and was 4.6 percent higher than in September 2024 and 18.2 percent higher than in October 2023. The price of milk in Poland was 0.04 percent lower than the average EU price. In October 2024, our country was in eleventh place in the EU in terms of milk prices. According to the Central Statistical Office, the average milk price in October 2024 was PLN 220.23/100l, which was 5.7 percent higher than in September 2024 and 12.6 percent higher than in October 2023.
