Russia is planning to increase its grain production to 170 million tons per year by 2030, with an export potential of at least 80 million tons. In 2024, the country supplied 72 million tons of grain to foreign markets, covering domestic needs and maintaining a high export potential. Russia is also the world leader in peas exports with 3.2 million tons last season. The country is expanding its grain export geography, supplying to 109 countries, 70% of which is to the Middle East and Africa. Russia has started the process of creating a BRICS grain exchange to ensure pricing transparency and simplify international settlements for BRICS member countries. The ministry is also providing agricultural support to partners to ensure food security and supplying high-quality agricultural products.
