The Kaluga region has seen significant success in exporting agricultural products, with a total of USD 12.5 million (11.6 thousand tons) exported since the start of the year to over 30 countries, placing it as the 13th highest exporter among 18 regions in the Central Federal District. The majority of exports (44.6%) are remains and waste from the food industry and ready-animal feed, with Germany, Great Britain, and Georgia as the main importers. Additionally, the region has also exported finished products from grain, cereals, flour, starch or milk, confectionery products, and food products, with Vietnam, Germany, and Azerbaijan as the main consumers.
