Ukraine has seen a 12% increase in sunflower oil exports in the 2022/23 September-April period, reaching 3.8 million tons. With an anticipated additional export of 0.8 million tons in the May-August period, the country's sunflower oil production and export levels may hit their lowest in over nine seasons due to several factors, including the operation of the 'grain corridor', oil raw materials and product reserves in EU countries, and internal protests in Poland reducing purchases. Furthermore, a forecast by APC-Inform predicts that sunflower oil exports will remain at a minimum, around 4.57 million tons, in the next season, continuing the downward global price trend in sunflower oil.
