Spain: CAAE issues the JAS certificate to Coren to market fresh organic pork in Japan

Coren, one of the largest meat industries in Spain, has chosen to receive the JAS certification of animal origin to export its products, fresh organic pork, to Japan. This new certification enables the highest quality organic products from Galicia to reach the tables of the Japanese, guaranteed by the JAS organic livestock seal certified by CAAE. On July 16, 2020, the new regulations for organic products of animal origin, JAS Livestock, of the MAFF (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry) of Japan came into force. In the European Union, as an equivalence agreement has not been reached, it is mandatory to obtain certification of this scope to export organic products of animal origin to Japan.
