In Ukraine, early cabbage has begun to get more expensive. The main reason for the price increase is a seasonal factor - early varieties of the vegetable are almost depleted, while later varieties have not yet entered the market. Analysts from the EastFruit project noted that today producers are selling white cabbage in the range of 10-20 UAH/kg ($0.24-0.48/kg), which is on average 29% more expensive than at the end of last week. According to farmers, the reason for the price increase is the reduction in market supply during the off-season, as the harvest of early varieties is coming to an end, while the mass harvesting of later varieties has not yet begun.
