The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (Promperú) organized workshops in Brussels, Rotterdam, and Oslo to promote Peruvian cocoa and chocolate, featuring a tasting of cocoa and chocolates from 10 cooperatives in the Cusco region. The workshops aimed to highlight the quality and aroma of Peruvian cocoa and were well-received by the participating companies. Between January and August 2021, cocoa bean exports reached US $ 87 million, with the Netherlands being the main destination.
