Cacao and chocolate from Peru make their way into Norway, the Netherlands, and Belgium

(Agraria.pe) The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (Promperú), through its Commercial Office in the Netherlands, organized workshops on Peruvian cocoa and chocolate with experts from the sector in Brussels, Rotterdam and Oslo, in order to highlight our national product and position native cocoa in northern Europe. The activity, called Unboxing Cusco ('Discovering Cusco'), featured a tasting of different types of cocoa and chocolates from 10 cooperatives in the Cusco region, in order to publicize part of the high quality Peruvian offer and cocoa fine aroma that Peru offers to the world. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the Southeast Export Macro-regional Office of PromPerú in Cusco and placed emphasis on the native varieties Chuncho, Vraem 15 and Vraem 99.
