As part of the construction of the Agua Negra reservoir, located in the peasant community of Cumbico, in the Magdalena district, the Regional Directorate of Agriculture has started the construction work of infiltration ditches, actions aimed at ensuring greater availability of water for irrigation during the dry season. This intervention is part of the Water Sowing and Harvesting strategy promoted by the Regional Government of Cajamarca, with the objective of facing the effects of water scarcity and climate change, as well as generating better conditions for agricultural production throughout the year.
