The Netherlands has experienced a significant decrease in calve imports from Ireland, by over 30%, leaving the current total at around 50,000. Conversely, there has been a notable increase in calve imports from Germany, with a 15% rise compared to the previous year, bringing the total to 186,000 up to week 17. This shift has resulted in Germany holding nearly 70% of the market share in Dutch calf imports.
