California's pistachio production and exports have both increased, while exports to China have significantly declined.

The increase in production is directly reflected in the inventory data. As of October 31, California's adjusted total inventory reached 698,591.78 tons, up 30.64% from the same period last year's 534,762.09 tons; the unadjusted total inventory climbed to a historical high of 764,667.90 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 30.2%. The high inventory is partly due to the substantial carryover inventory from the 2024 crop season and partly due to the bumper harvest of 712,694.19 tons in the early 2025 crop season, providing ample assurance for global supply. In the two months leading up to the new crop season, California's pistachio exports surged significantly.
