Cambodia: Processing enterprises collaborate with farmers, promoting organic cashew production

Source: kampucheathmey.com Ample Agro Product Co., Ltd in collaboration with S’trei Corporation Co., Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with organic pepper producing agricultural communities in Preah Vihear province regarding the "Collaboration in implementing, supporting, and promoting organic pepper production," under the coordination of the Cambodia Pepper Federation. The signing of the MoU aims to jointly build a standard organic pepper production chain, ensuring quality and sustainability, thereby improving the livelihoods of farmers and promoting organic agriculture development in Cambodia. A total of 5 agricultural communities are participating, including 4 communities from Rovieng district and 1 community from Choam Ksan district of Preah Vihear province. These communities have the capacity to produce more than 200 tons of organic pepper, with a value in line with the current market standards.
