The article highlights the expectations of Cambodia to increase its milled rice exports to China due to the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA). These free trade agreements are set to facilitate trade and provide greater market access for Cambodian products. In the first 10 months of 2022, China remained a major buyer of Cambodia's milled rice, as shown in a report by the Cambodia Rice Federation. The report also indicated a 10.6% increase in Cambodia's exports of milled rice to international markets in the January-October period compared to the previous year, reaching 509,249 tons and generating a gross income of 324 million USD. The exports were made to 56 countries and regions, including fragrant rice, long grain white rice, parboiled rice, organic rice, and glutinous rice.
