Tridge summary

Strawberry farmers in Cameron Highlands are selling their produce at up to 70% discount due to a lack of sales during the second movement control order (MCO). Regular prices range from RM30 to RM35 per kilo, but current prices are RM10 to RM12 a kilo. The president of Cameron Highlands’ Vegetable Farmers Organisation, Chai Kok Lim, stated that farmers are willing to suffer small losses to avoid not selling at all. The unsold bumper crops remain unreached due to lack of demand and difficulty in selling online. Only local buyers, in small numbers, are making purchases.
