Most provinces in Canada have had favorable harvest conditions, leading to above average yields in the Central provinces and exceptional yields in the East. Only British Columbia has experienced below average yields. The final update of the season shows that Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick have finished their harvest, with outstanding yields and quality. Quebec's harvest is almost complete, with above average yields and nice quality. Ontario's harvest is also mostly complete, with well above average yields and nice size profiles. Manitoba's harvest was 90% complete by October 1, with some growers delaying to allow further bulking, and fresh potato growers have now completed their harvest. However, the growing season had heat exceeding 30 degrees for 36 days, which trimmed overall yields and caused quality issues such as more smalls, lower gravity, and sugar ends.
