The Agriculture and Food Department of the Council of Agriculture in Taiwan is reminding farmers to prepare for the strong typhoon Canshu and heavy monsoon rains in China that could cause agricultural disasters. The department urges farmers to take preventive measures, such as harvesting crops and taking safety precautions, to minimize damage. For already harvested crops, farmers are advised to store them properly and for bulk vegetables, store them in warehouses. In case of a disaster, farmers are encouraged to report to their local office and document the damage for future assistance.
