Carrot prices are rising again in Ukraine: how much does a kilogram cost?

This week, carrot prices in Ukraine have started to rise again. The price increase is due to high demand for quality vegetables in conditions of limited supply Analysts of the EastFruit project reported that wholesale companies and retail chains are actively purchasing carrots, while stocks in storage are rapidly decreasing. Many farmers have already managed to fully sell their products, while most other large farms are shipping exclusively under previously concluded contracts. The root crop is sold at a wholesale price of 25-33 UAH/kg ($0.59-0.78/kg), which is on average 10% more expensive than at the end of the last working week. The growth in carrot prices is not hindered even by the presence of large volumes of imported vegetables on the market, in particular from Poland.
