Carrots suddenly started to become cheaper in Ukraine: how much does a kilogram cost now?

Carrot prices have begun to fall in Ukraine. Producers have noted that the quality of vegetables leaves much to be desired - the rejection rate is much higher compared to the same period last year. Analysts from the EastFruit project noted that since the beginning of this week alone, carrots on the Ukrainian market have become cheaper by an average of 10%. Farmers are selling the vegetable for 23-30 UAH/kg ($0.54-0.71/kg) depending on the quality and volume of the batch. Producers are forced to adjust prices even in conditions of limited supply of quality carrots. It is noted that the pressure on prices is exerted by very restrained demand for vegetables of medium and low quality. Wholesale companies and retail chains are ready to purchase vegetables only in small batches due to very low demand.
