The Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS) has set an export target of US$3.1 billion in 2023 for the cashew industry, a slight increase from the previous year. This targets an agro-forestry export-seafood market of $54 billion in 2023. The industry, however, faces challenges due to global demand and market challenges. The association advocates for a strategy of reducing quantity and increasing quality, with a focus on brand building and management, especially in the trend of green production and trade. The EU is leading this trend, requiring traceability and standards, and businesses in the cashew industry need to adapt to these standards.
