Cassava advances with good development

The Conjunctural Report released by Emater/RS-Ascar on Wednesday (19) pointed out that cassava crops maintain adequate development in the regions monitored by the institution. In the administrative area of Santa Rosa, the report indicates "good growth and development of the sprouts," with a sufficient plant population per hectare. The crop, according to the agency, presents "good phytosanitary conditions." The price to the consumer was reported as R$ 6.00 per kilo with the peel and R$ 8.00 per kilo in the peeled version. In the Lajeado region, in São José do Hortêncio, Emater/RS-Ascar recorded that the crops "continue in full development," with no significant losses, although there are "sporadic cases of bacteriosis" associated with the use of seedlings purchased from third parties.
