The article highlights a decrease in cassava prices in Vietnam's Central region and Central Highlands due to an increased harvest by farmers, leading to a surge in supply and a drop in export prices. Despite this, Yen Bai province managed to export around 7,200 tons of cassava and cassava products in 2020, earning about 3 million USD. The province aims to maintain cassava cultivation at 8,700 hectares by 2025, targeting an annual production of 171,000 tons. The exports of cassava and cassava products experienced a decline in February 2021 compared to the previous month and year, but there was a slight increase in the average export price compared to January 2021. The first two months of 2021 saw a significant increase in the exports' volume and value compared to the same period in 2020.
