Cattle farmers in Khulna district are facing challenges in rearing animals for sacrifice due to the soaring costs of feed and fodder. The price of cattle feed is increasing weekly, leading to significant financial strain for the farmers. The high costs are threatening the profitability of the business and forcing some farmers to sell their cattle ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. The district fisheries and livestock officer has recommended growing grass on their land as an alternative feed for cattle to reduce rearing costs.
