The Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia is working to preserve the CCP gunsi duck, a cross between the Peking and Khaki Campbell duck, as a potential source of national food security and economic growth. The breeding of this duck is being implemented through the release of grass or local livestock lines to prevent extinction, with the goal of establishing a bird flu-free compartment for potential export of duck meat. The cross breeding of these two ducks was initiated in 2021, with the new breed, PKC gunsi duck, being adapted to Indonesian conditions.
