Cereal prices change trend and rise in Spain in December

Cereal prices have risen slightly in Spanish markets so far in December. They represent a change in trend with respect to the declines of recent weeks and a reflection of international tensions over climate issues. The prices recorded during the first closed week of December in the markets (until Friday the 8th) reflect increases in all cereals except durum wheat, according to data provided this Monday by the Accoe wholesale trade association. These were the following average prices and their variations: common wheat, 241.66 euros/ton (+0.54%); corn, 234.24 euros/ton (+0.21%); barley, 229.23 euros/ton (+0.19%); durum wheat, 267.5 euros/ton (stable), malt barley, 252.75 euros/ton (stable) and oats, 312.83 euros/ton (+0.11%).
