Cereals Chamber: White rice and barley rice prices drop in the markets of Egypt

Shehata added to Masrawy that the price of a ton of fine-grain barley rice decreased to between 13.5 and 15 thousand pounds, compared to 14 and 15.5 thousand pounds before the decrease, and a ton of broad-grain barley rice decreased to 16 thousand pounds, compared to 16.5 pounds, before the decrease, a decrease of 500 pounds per ton. Shehata explained that a ton of fine-grain white rice decreased to a price ranging between 22 and 24 thousand pounds per ton, compared to a price ranging between 23 and 25 thousand pounds per ton, a decrease of 1 thousand pounds per ton.
