Paraguay: An increase of 10.7% is expected in the cotton planting area

According to the planting intention report prepared by the Association of Agricultural Producers for a Sustainable Chaco (APACS), an increase of 10.77% of the cotton crop planting area in the Paraguayan Chaco is expected, which would go from 49,357 to 54,671 hectares. “We thought that the greatest growth was going to occur with the cultivation of cotton taking into account the expectations it was generating, however, the greatest growth would occur with the cultivation of soybeans with an increase of 97% in the planting area,” Carlos Passerieu, president of (APACS), told Valor Agrícola.
