Thai agricultural minister, Mr. Alongkorn, visited the Or Tor Kor market to support local fruit farmers and promote the consumption of Thai fruits, highlighting the abundant yield of durian, mangosteen, and other fruits in the eastern region. In response to the potential impact of COVID-19 on fruit trade, the government is working with China's Customs Office and implementing measures such as building cooperation, preventing contamination, and accelerating transport services to mitigate disruptions. The government also aims to increase domestic fruit consumption from 30% to 40% to support the fruit industry and improve prices for farmers.
