(Changwon=Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Sun-kyung = Changwon City, Gyeongnam, announced on the 19th that it has entered into a business agreement with the Nonghyup Changwon Branch, the Legal Entity Gyeongnam Cut Flower Research Association, and the Flower Shop Association to revitalize the flower consumption culture.
The city participated in this agreement to promote the flower industry and to discourage the use of plastic flowers.
The revised and promulgated "Changwon City Flower Industry Promotion Ordinance," which was issued on the 14th, recommends that public institutions and commercial facilities refrain from using plastic flowers or products made from plastic flowers.
Based on the agreement and the related ordinance, the city plans to provide administrative support for promoting local flower industry consumption in the future, cooperate in spreading the culture of using cut flowers, and prioritize the purchase of local flowers.
