Spain has experienced a 125% growth in cheese exports in value and a 129% growth in volume from 2010 to 2020, reaching a total of 106,700 tons and € 508.5 million. The exports are dominated by D.O. Manchego cheese, but goat cheese and industrial uses cheeses are also gaining popularity. The main importers are the European Union, the US, and the UK, with France, Italy, and Portugal being the top three. The industry aims to expand into emerging markets such as China and Southeast Asia.
