Prices of cherry tomatoes and melons have increased significantly due to heightened demand, according to the Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation. The retail price of cherry tomatoes has risen by 42.2% from last year, reaching 10,748 won per kg, while the price of melons has increased by 35.6% to 27,896 won for 10 pieces. Other fruits such as tomatoes and watermelons have also seen price hikes of over 10% compared to last year. However, the price of imported bananas has decreased due to government imports.
