In August, Turkey experienced a 2.8% increase in chicken egg production compared to the same month the previous year, reaching a total of 1.81 billion. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the country also saw a 6.2% increase in the number of slaughtered chickens and a 5.6% increase in chicken meat production. However, turkey meat production decreased by 3.3% in the same period. From January to August, chicken egg production increased by 4.9%, chicken meat production by 5.6%, and turkey meat production by 17.1% compared to the same period in the previous year.
