From January to October 2022, chicken meat exports have hit the highest record with a 4.6% increase compared to the same period in 2021, totaling 3.92 million tons, despite a 17.4% decrease in Chinese demand due to domestic production recovery. This decline has been compensated by increased shipments to countries like the Philippines, Singapore, and Mexico. Domestic chicken meat supply has been boosted for the holiday season, though demand has not yet matched. For 2023, a 4.2% rise in the domestic chicken meat market is anticipated, alongside a tendency towards stabilization in per capita consumption due to economic factors. Additionally, beef exports have seen an increase, with nearly 2 million tons shipped from January to October 2022, a figure higher than the previous year. China continues to be the primary buyer of Brazilian beef, accounting for 54.5% of total sales.
