In the first four months of 2021, Kazakhstan saw a significant increase in poultry meat exports, with a 120.5% rise compared to the same period in the previous year, reaching a total of 9.3 thousand tons and earning $14.7 million. The majority of these exports were sent to Russia, which accounted for 7.2 thousand tons, marking a fivefold increase from the previous year. Kyrgyzstan was the second largest recipient, with 2.1 thousand tons. Domestically, poultry meat production in Kazakhstan also experienced growth, producing 90.6 thousand tons from January to April, a 15% increase year-over-year. This surge in production has led to a slight decrease in imports, down by 2.3% to 36.2 thousand tons.
