Chile has recently expanded its agricultural exports to China, including refrigerated meats and some frozen by-products, following the signing of protocols announced by the Secretary of State. This development, marked by the extension of the pork products protocol, which commenced in October 2020, signifies a significant advancement for the export of refrigerated pork and by-products, with trade values expected to surpass 12 billion dollars and create 500,000 jobs in fruits, wines, and meats. In 2023, pork product exports to China reached over 260,000 tons and nearly 700 million dollars in value, predominantly composed of frozen products. This achievement underscores Chile's growing influence in the Chinese market, with particular focus on the high demand for pork by-products.
