Between January and August of 2024, bovine cattle benefits saw a 6.2% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The number of slaughtered animals reached 517.4 thousand, resulting in 134.1 thousand tons of meat. Nominal prices at livestock fairs experienced mixed results, with decreases in the prices of fattening cows and fat cows, but increases in other categories. Beef exports also saw a 1.9% increase from January to September of 2024, with China continuing to be the primary market. However, there was a 0.5% decrease in the volume of exports to China, with a FOB value of 50.5 million USD.
