From January to June 2021, Chile's fruit exports reached 2.04 million tons, valued at $4.441 billion FOB, marking a 1% decrease in volume but a 4% increase in value compared to the same period in the previous year, as reported by Fedefruta. Fresh fruit made up 81% of the total value, processed fruit 15%, and dried fruits 4%. Cherries saw the highest increase in both volume and value, followed by table grapes and blueberries, with China, the U.S., and the Netherlands being the main destinations for these fruits.
