The Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (Odepa) of Chile has reported a 14.9% decrease in dairy imports in volume and a 4.7% decrease in value from January to August 2022, compared to the same period in 2021. The imports totaled 84,058 tons valued at $323,706 thousand, a decrease from the previous year's 100,122 tons valued at $339,927 thousand. The main imports included cheese, whey, and other dairy products from 38 countries, with Argentina, the United States, New Zealand, Mexico, and Germany being the primary suppliers.
