In January 2021, Chile's fruit exports saw a 4% increase in volume and a 1% increase in value compared to the previous year, totaling 347 thousand tons and USD 1,429 million FOB. The majority of the value, 91.5%, was from fresh fruit, while 7% was processed fruit and 1.4% was dried fruit. The main fruits exported were cherries and blueberries, with China and the US being the main destinations for these fruits. Table grapes saw a decrease in both volume and value. Shelled walnuts were the highest value exported product in January.
