Cherry planting areas are expanding, with an expected 5.5% increase to 67,000 hectares in the 2024/25 season, leading to a projected production of over 500,000 tons and an increase in exports to 445,000 tons. Nectarine and peach planting areas are also expected to grow slightly to 8,550 hectares, with a total production of 173,000 tons.
