Chile's foreign trade exchange reached a record high of USD 101,393 million in the first seven months of 2021, a 36% increase from the previous year, surpassing USD 100 billion for the first time. This growth is attributed to both a rise in exports and imports, with exports reaching USD 53,320 million, a 29% increase, and imports reaching USD 48,073 million, a 45% increase. Copper exports led the growth, increasing by 54% and accounting for 57% of total shipments. The month of July saw the highest commercial exchange for a single month since records began, with a 41% increase compared to the same month in 2020.
