Vietnamese durian exports to China have experienced a significant surge, with a 573.1% increase in value to 190.5 million USD in the first four months of 2023, primarily due to the Chinese market. The export volume has grown to nearly 60,000 tons, with the majority being imported through Huu Nghi International Border Gate in Lang Son province. Despite China's import of durian from other countries like Thailand, there is potential for Vietnamese durian to dominate the market due to its large domestic demand. Efforts are being made to improve transport and cargo clearance to further increase accessibility within China.
