China: China's meat production grew steadily in the first three quarters

In the first three quarters of 2025, China's production of pork, beef, lamb, and poultry meat was 73.12 million tons, an increase of 3.8% from the previous year. Of this total, pork production grew by 3.0%, beef production by 3.3%, and poultry production by 7.2%, while lamb production decreased by 4.3%.

At the end of the third quarter, the number of registered pigs was 436.80 million, an increase of 2.3% from the previous year; and 529.92 million pigs were slaughtered, an increase of 1.8% in the first three quarters.
