An aquaculture enterprise in Nilka County, Xinjiang, currently produces approximately 12,000 tons of fish annually, with sales revenue exceeding 300 million RMB last year. The aquaculture base is located at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, relying on glacial meltwater for cultivation and introducing automated feeding and digital fishery management systems. The enterprise supplies the domestic market through cold chain logistics by air and land, positioning its products as a high-quality fresh alternative to imported Atlantic salmon. The company plans to venture into the high-value-added product sector, including fish oil and bioactive protein raw material production. China is continuously expanding domestic "salmon" supply to capture the mid-range consumer market and reduce dependence on imported salmon, particularly from Norway and Chile.
