The General Administration of Customs of China has approved six American processing units for exporting beef, pork, and poultry, and has also restarted operations for three beef plants in Uruguay. These factories can now export their products to China, starting from August 24. Recently, China had temporarily halted imports from several countries' meatpacking plants due to the need for increased sanitary control amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
