China launches campus food safety inspection and rectification; 85 companies ordered to suspend production and business in the past six months

(Beijing) Since half a year ago, multiple departments of the Chinese government have jointly carried out a special campaign to investigate and rectify campus food safety in various parts of mainland China. At present, 10,200 illegal cases have been filed and dealt with, and 85 companies have been ordered to suspend production and business. According to the news on the Weibo of the State Administration for Market Regulation of China on Saturday (June 1), the State Administration for Market Regulation of China, together with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Security, the National Health Commission and other departments, has launched a special campaign to investigate and rectify campus food safety since December 2023.
