China overtook Ukraine and Chile in walnut exports to the EU

The European Union imported 116,493 tons of shelled walnuts in January-September 2025, which is 12% more than last year. According to Mundus Agri, customs statistics show that the EU paid 720 million euros for this volume, which is significantly more than last year’s 455.2 million euros. The average import price of 6.18 euros/kg is 41% higher than last year. The vast majority of supplies came from the USA – 54.45 thousand tons, or 47% of all imports.
